Stories
Special Christmas Program
Christmas is the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.  One of the most famous elements of the Nativity story is the Star of Bethlehem.  Using modern Astronomy models we will re-create the night sky in the year 2 BCE and actually witness the events in the night sky over Bethlehem which inspired the story of this star.  Join us for a fascinating and compelling look at the Christmas Story.
Blow out Sale!!
All trees 50% off. Regularly $40-$50, now $20-$25!!  Tell your friends, tell your neighbors – one day only.  Monday December 21st 4-7PM.  Most trees remaining are over 7’, but we will happily “trim them down to size” if you want a smaller tree.
Purchasing 4 My Cause
Still looking for that perfect hostess or business gift? Check out http://purchasing4mycause.com/ . Time is running short for Christmas delivery so visit the site today!

When you “proceed to checkout”, select your cause: Civic/Community/Religious, in the State of ME, then click on Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club.  15% of your purchase will come back to our club.
Tree Sale Breakdown and Clean Up

We have a few volunteers lined up to help, but more hands are always welcome. If you would like to help break down the Christmas tree sale lot and clean up, please contact Jason Beever 756-2155. 9:30AM Tuesday December 22.

Tips for Charity – A big success
We are pleased to report that the Rotary table raised the most “tips for charity” this year at the December 11 luncheon.  $348!!  All proceeds were designated to the Westbrook Food Panty and the Good Samaritan Fund.

A huge thanks goes out to Rotarians, family, and UMaine Alumni who joined us this year.  We are looking forward to retaining that number one position next year.
District Conference 2016
This year’s District Conference will be held June 10 – 12, at the beautiful Tarry-A-While Resort on Highland Lake in Bridgton, Maine. Early bird rate is $180 for Friday- Sunday.  Early Bird registration ends January 1, 2016.  After January 1, the price will be $225.  Other rates are available for Sat-Sun only attendance.

If you are interested in attending, let President Christine know by our December 22 meeting.  Lodging will be self-pay, but the club will help with registration costs for a limited number of attendees.

If you have never been to a District Conference before, please consider attending this year. Always great speakers and always inspirational!
