Changing the Face of Dying

Changing the Face of Dying was born of ten amazing years working in hospitals and emergency rooms across the country. In that time, a vision formed of changing our societal views on death as a taboo subject; starting and perpetuating conversations about end-of-life; education to change the way we perceive death and plan for it; allowing individuals to retain control of our lives to the very last breath. We work with individuals, organizations and families in a multifaceted approach of education, planning, advocacy and support; to define quality of life and plan for how to maintain that quality through to the last breath.

Amanda Carr, RN, BSN is an Emergency Room Nurse who has found her passion in helping people design and achieve the end of life they desire.  Through years of experiences with patients in the hospital settings, as well as personal experience, Amanda has developed a unique view and skill set to help people navigate their choices in health and medical care; maximizing their lives to the last moments.  Amanda encourages people to have these difficult conversations through educational workshops, blogging, community outreach and individual conversations.  Amanda is the owner and operator of Changing the Face of Dying LLC (www.changingthefaceofdying.com).
