            2. Is it fair to all concerned?
            3. Will it build goodwill & better friendships?
            4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Gorham Business Exchange
Katie Sherman, the new Executive Director of the Gorham Business Exchange, was our guest and speaker on September 13. Katie grew up on August, graduating from Cony High School and UMA. She moved to southern Maine in 2009 and is currently Operations Manager at Knight Property Services.

The Gorham Business Exchange's mission is to be an advocate for local businesses to enhance the community in which we live. They are a non-profit organization serving the Gorham, Maine area and will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary in 2017. They periodically hold after-hours events and are hoping to make the organization more family friendly while expanding their community base.

Rotary Foundation at 100
Celebrate the Foundation’s centennial by making a special contribution.

To mark this historic year, the Rotary Foundation has set a goal of $300 million, including contributions to the Annual, Endowment and PolioPlus funds. By making a special centennial gift beyond what you normally contribute, you are helping to launch our Foundation into its second century of service. And you’re empowering Rotary members to continue fighting disease, reducing poverty, providing clean water, promoting peace, and advancing economic development in communities all over the world.

As part of this goal, President John Germ has challenged every club to contribute $2650 towards Polio Plus. This amount is a reference to the original Foundation contribution of $26.50.

Only contributions received between 1 July 2016 and 30 June 2017 will count toward the goal.

Check this link to monitor progress to the goal: http://centennial.rotary.org/en/fundraising-goal
