Rotarian Tom Violette & Leah Cromarty of UMaine
Get to Know you & Leah's Medical Mission Experience in Costa Rica

We have two speakers this week!   First we'll hear from one of our new members whom we have not heard from yet -Tom Violette.  Then we'll hear from Leah Cromarty, a Sophomore from UMaine.

Leah Cromarty, is a 2023 graduate of Westbrook High School where she was a four-year member of the Interact Club at WHS. She is attending the University of Maine, majoring in microbiology and hopees to become a physician assistant.  Last year she was selected to join the University Volunteer Ambulance Corps, also known as UVAC. It is the on-campus emergency medical service (EMS) for the University of Maine. They respond to emergency calls at the University of Maine and provide mutual aid to surrounding towns and agencies.

She traveled to Costa Rica in January, as a volunteer with UVAC where they provided a variety of medical services to local residents for an entire week.  W-G Rotary provided some support for her trip.
