Addressing food insecurity while starting a new business.

Rep. Sue Salisbury is serving her first term in the Maine House. She is a member of the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee. 

A small business owner, she has operated a coffee shop in Westbrook since 2016 and has recently opened The Daily Scoop, an ice cream shop.

Salisbury currently serves as the Chair of the Westbrook School Committee. A resident of Westbrook for more than 25 years and the mother of four children, she is actively involved in her community providing food to families in need through her organization Westbrook Families Feed Families and being a member of One Westbrook, a committee whose goal is to make Westbrook an open and welcoming community.

In Augusta, Salisbury is focused on combating food insecurity in Maine and increasing financial support for municipalities, specifically school districts.
