Reading Friends at Village School – The Rotary Reading Friends is a program where volunteers read with kids to provide additional reading opportunities for struggling readers. This year we are reading with 3rd graders! Volunteers are needed for about 1 hour, once a week, to read with up to three students in 15-to-20-minute blocks. The day of the week is negotiable with the assigned teacher. Start times may vary, but are usually in the morning hours. If interested in volunteering, contact Karen Arnold for more information.
The Locker Project - We continue to volunteer at the now twice-a-week food events in Westbrook sponsored by the Locker Project. These community events have been ongoing at least once a week, with limited interruption, since July of 2020. These events are expected to continue through at least summer 2022.
