Notes from Club Assembly June 14, 2022
Many topics were addressed during our most recent Club Assembly (aka Club Business Meeting).  We approved 2022-2023 budgets for both our Charities and our Club accounts.  We are planning for a strong fundraising year!!

We also provided details about this year's scholarships, toolships, and awards; status of the next house, a variety of upcoming community services projects, golf, trees, membership, and more!

Take Advantage of our Club's Matching Program
As we approach the end of this Rotary year, please consider a new or additional gift to The Rotary Foundation.

To donate quickly and easily online, go to  https://my.rotary.org/en/donate  Here you can choose a Fund or Area of Focus to support, but we hope you will consider donating to the Annual Fund.  The AF is what funds our District Grants and provides matches for Global Grants.
Summer Volunteer Opportunities
There are several opportunities to volunteer in our Communities this summer.  Click on the  Learn More button for information about the expansion of our Reading Friends program into Gorham Summer School; find out about Locker Project Free Food Events in Westbrook; an end of summer food drive; and more!
All hands needed to make our largest annual fundraiser a success!  It is not too early for all of us to reach out to potential players and sponsors. Visit https://westbrookgorhamrotarygolf.org/ and share the link with potential sponsors.

Our goal is to sign up at least 20 teams, with a stretch goal of 25 teams.  Together, we can do this!

Semi-Annual Dues are Due!

Dues bills for the first half of the 2022-2023 Rotary year have been sent out via email by our Treasurer.  If you haven’t paid already, please pay online, mail your check to our PO Box, or bring your check to our next meeting.  Our goal is to collect all dues for each half of the year prior to the beginning of that half, since membership numbers must be reconciled by June 30th and December 31st each year.

If you did not receive your bill, have a question or would like another notice, please contact our Treasurer Karen Arnold Kearnold2828@gmail.com
HYBRID Meetings Will Continue

We will continue to meet each week in person, with a Zoom option. To help prevent the meeting link from being hijacked by bad actors, it will be sent out to our mailing list a day or two before each such meeting. The link will not be included in this newsletter or on our website for this security reason, as our Newsletters are publicly available on our website.

Until further notice, this link remains the same.  Please consider saving it in your browser or in your calendar so you will quickly have access to it.
