Discover Downtown Westbrook

Join us in Riverbank Park Westbrook for a socially distanced in-person meeting.  From the main entrance, drive around the statue circle and proceed towards the river.  You will see us set up on the grass on the left hand side.

We will be joined by Discover Downtown Westbrook 's  new Graduate Research Assistant from the University of Southern Maine - Melissa Hutchins. Melissa is currently enrolled in the Master of Public Policy, Planning, and Management program.   She is a graduate of the Maine Development Foundation Institute for Civic Leadership (formerly LIFT360) and the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center NEW Leadership.   Additionally, she holds many State of Maine certifications including a Code Enforcement license, and is heavily experienced in local government. 

We also will be joined by Phil Spiller, President of DDW

National Park Service Northeast Temperate Network

Ed Shannon will be telling us about the networks set up to monitor biological communities and other natural resources of the National Park System.  He will focus on Acadia National Park and other northern New England Parks.  He is based at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park in Woodstock, VT.
